Carol became licensed as a realtor in 2003 and holds a Texas and Colorado license. She has managed offices for Bradfield Properties, Coldwell Banker D'Ann Harper and was a partner in LoneStar Properties, Boerne.

In 2021 she obtained her Broker's license and with her husband Mike and realtor, Ariel Brooks Stevens, formed Hill Country Home and Land.

She is a graduate of Leadership Boerne, former chair of the Boerne Public Library Foundation Board, founding member and past chair of Boerne Performing Arts, former member of the Meadowlands Charter School Board and has served on multiple church and community committees.

She is married to Mike Schultz and has three children, Mitch, Matt and Meghan (Jason) and two grandchildren, Mattie and Hunter.
